6 months old.. ALREADY

Abigail had her 6 month check-up on May 1st.. ALL IS WELL!! We have a very happy and healthy little girl.. growing little girl- 18 lbs and 26 inches!!

We started adding rice cereal into her bottles during the day (11am and 3pm)-- and once a day we are eating rice cereal with a spoon (usually around 7:3o pm)-

The first time we tried feeding with a spoon was great. She already puts everything in sight into her mouth- a spoon with cereal was no different. WHAT A FUN TIME FOR ALL THREE OF US.. Of course, a bath was enjoyed thereafter!

We will be starting solid baby food in June.. and plan to share the big event with all of the Dores during our family vacation to Destin, FL. After much thought (can you say "first time mom")-- I think we will start with Squash-- we will see how that goes..

She is sitting up (with little support), picking up toys (and throwing them all over the backseat), and is talking more and more.. She sleeps 10 hours a night (knock on wood) and really doesn't use a pacifier that much. When she is sleepy she sucks her thumb and plays with her hair (Uncle Brian). This week (May 10) she began saying "da-da-da"-- which was an exciting moment for Mark.. Although I argue that there is no word association (we will have to consult Mimi)-- there is no doubt that she truly is DADDY'S LIL GIRL!

All in all, we have been enjoying our time with Mark- we all rejoice during semester breaks!!

WHAT A WONDERFUL WEDDING WEEKEND! APRIL 27-29, 2007
Eric and May's wedding was so incredible. We truly enjoyed our weekend in Natchitoches, LA and at the Church Street Inn. Family and friends from all over the country travelled to be with us. How blessed we are to be surrounded and supported by so many loved ones! Thank you to everyone who helped to make the weekend so memorable. To those who couldn't join us, here is a little run down- On Friday night, we hosted the rehearsal dinner at The Landing which was right on the Cane River. Afterwards, we found our way to Mama's and Papa's Oyster Bar and Restaurant for a few more drinks (and a few more memories). After a relaxing day at a salon and on the golf course, we made our way to the church. The wedding ceremony was Sat evening at Immaculate Conception Church (Father Wayne spent the weekend with us which was a TREAT!). The reception was a trolley ride away at The Ducournau, a beautiful restaurant and an excellent location for a Scott/Thomassee PARTY! Okay, so words do not capture how much fun we had.. STAY TUNED FOR PICTURES COMING SOON!
